Edinburgh Windows and Doors are leading the sash window restoration and upgrade project for Fraser suites Edinburgh. All timber sash and case windows in the property are being fully refurbished and brought back to life. The windows in the property have seen minimal repairs over the years, this has lead to a large amount of windows being out of operation. There has also been a large amount of ret ingress into the poorly painted timber. We have removed sashes and stripped paint fully to expose the old hardwood timbers. In order to have long lasting repairs we use repair care resin to seal any joints and ensure the repairs will last at least 50 more years. Part of the project is to increase the thermal efficiency of the timber sash and case windows. In order to achieve this and also align with Edinburgh conservation laws. We have fully draught proofed and fitted Fineo glazing to the existing frames. Fineo provides better thermal properties and U-values than triple glazing. The project is on going and we look forward to adding more commercial restoration projects to our roster of work.
