We were contacted to replace a small bathroom window which did not open, this meant there was a large amount of condensation and also heat loss from the single glazed old timber window. We have manufactured a new timber sash and case window with obscure glass and fitted it perfectly into this old cottage. We have also used the traditional method of glazing this window, linseed oil putty which takes a while to properly cure. We will be back along to do the final coat of paint when the putty has properly cured. We do notice that some manufactures do not allow an appropriate length of time before painting linseed oil putty which results in a very poor performing paint finish. We make sure that our products will last! this sometimes means a small return visit to top up paint. Thankfully we manage the full service from manufacture to fitting and painting so we can be as efficient as possible for our customers.
