The Royal Society of Edinburgh. Martina, venue manager at the RSE was looking to have these huge windows brought back into operation. This job was a challenge due to the size of the sash windows. We added pulleys and weights to a number of windows in the venue on George street. Due to the size of the sashes we also incorporated a pulley system to operate the windows by pulling cords rather than sash handles. This has greatly improved the air flow in the building and allowed all members of staff to freely open the windows without risk of injuring themselves.
