EWD have repaired 6 windows in this property in Leith, a number of rotten cills and mastic sections that were loose and falling out have been repaired and replaced. We also retro fitted slim line double glazed units into the existing 6 over 6 sash windows. We boarded the existing windows up and took the sashes to our workshop where the old 4mm float glass was removed. After routing out a larger cavity we replaced the old glass with new double glazed units. The windows were also stripped and draught proofed which made a huge difference in the heat retention in the customers house. We carried out the work over a number of very cold snowy days in December so the customer was particularly happy when the new double glazed sashes were fitted.
